Capt. Charlie Plumb and Gen. Jack Keane share their stories of strength and valor Wednesday, March 30, 2005 COLUMBUS- The final day of the 75th Anniversary Safety Congress & Expo will honor the contributions made by our country’s military men and women. Thursday, March 30 at 8:00 a.m., Captain Charlie Plumb will relate his 2,103 day experience as a prisoner of war to challenges we face in everyday life. In just one hour, he will demonstrate ways you can break free from your own prisons and create a new sense of purpose and potential. On the same day at 2:00 p.m., General Jack Keane will examine leadership. As a four star general and former Army Vice Chief of Staff, leadership is a way of life to Keane. He has 37 years experience leading soldiers and large organizations and is a military contributor and analyst for ABC News. “We are honored to have Capt. Plumb and Gen. Keane share their stories of courage and perseverance with us at Safety Congress,” said James Conrad, BWC Administrator and CEO. “Their words of wisdom will help us break down challenges at work, while strengthening our ability to lead. Without a doubt, both speakers will arm you with knowledge and ideas to bring back to the workplace.” Safety Congress, Captain Charlie Plumb and General Jack Keane’s presentations, will be held at the Columbus Convention Center.
