Thursday, May 5, 2005 BWC’s cutting-edge Web site develops a new look, streamlined for easier navigation COLUMBUS - After five years of serving injured workers and employers, the Ohio Bureau of Workers’ Compensation (BWC) decided to make a few changes to its Web site. “With over 100,000 claims filed, and more than $200 million in premiums paid online, it’s clear Ohioans have embraced the move from in line to online,” said James Conrad, BWC Administrator and CEO. “By creating a new, simple format for ohiobwc.com, our customers are better able to access the programs and services they need with the click of a button.” “Our goal is to give injured workers’ the quality care they deserve in the quickest way possible. Ohiobwc.com’s new look will help further that goal.” The new design features a simplified color scheme and each BWC customer has been assigned brilliant green, orange or blue. Up-to-date agency news is highlighted in pale yellow and the font is clear and easy to read throughout. BWC has already converted the menu pages have already been converted to the new design. In the coming months more pages will get the new look. Although the Web site’s design has changed, the content remains the same. Ohio’s workers’ can still file claims online and access information about current claims. Employers are still able to pay their premiums and register for educational opportunities. Additionally, medical providers will continue to be able to access claim documents. Information about all BWC programs and services will continue to be at customer’s finger tips. If users need assistance navigating BWC’s new look, live online support is available Monday through Friday, 7:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. To check out the changes, log on to ohiobwc.com.
